Mercyhurst North East is a Catholic liberal arts college located in North East, Pennsylvania, and is a branch campus of Mercyhurst University (Erie, Pennsylvania). It was established in 1991, when Mercyhurst College purchased the former home of the Redemptorist Fathers, a seminary built in 1868. Mercyhurst North East offers one-year certificates and two-year associate degrees in a variety of majors. As of the 2009–2010 academic year, the school enrolled more than 1,060 students, both resident and commuter.
